Entrepreneur Visits 29 Countries To Build A World Startup Report

We’re all about entrepreneurs meeting face-to-face. Every month, we get many emails asking to support different startup events, especially those that involve “entrepreneurs on the go” :)

This time, we couldn’t be happier to help a Startup Stay member and founder of CardMunch (sold to LinkedIn), Bowei Gai.

@Bowei, based in San Francisco, is a talented entrepreneur that firmly believes in the power of the on-growing startup ecosystem outside Silicon Valley. To that purpose, last January first, he embarked into a fantastic trip around the world to learn about the startup cultures of 36 cities in 29 countries. He will then report back on his findings by publishing slides, videos and interviews.  Bowei will be travelling until September 2013, where the journey finishes in Singapore.

The project called: “World Startup Report“, is also supported by experienced and well know entrepreneurs such as Dave McClure (500 Startups) and Brad Feld (TechStars). The goals are:

Document our world’s startup ecosystems through a series of reports detailing the local culture, trends, key players and challenges. Share these reports for free to benefit everyone in the global startup community.

Connect: Identify and empower local startup activists to become the ambassadors of each ecosystem. Leverage this network of ambassadors to help connect people to each other and to the global startup community.”

To follow the startup reports, please signup here. To learn more about the activities and other updates, please follow World Startup Report’s blog and tweets.

We wish him all the best and hope he can meet many Startup Stay entrepreneurs around the world!
