Bowei Gai is an entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley and founder of the World Startup Report (He also founded CardMunch, sold to LinkedIn). I had a chance to chat with him during his visit to London. I asked Bowei to share what really surprised him from visiting so many countries and any amazing story/startup.

Recently a member posed an very valid challenge related to the meaning that the word “entrepreneur” has for different people, in different countries, cultures and so on. After all, we’ve called Startup Stay “The Entrepreneurs’ Travel Community”.
After coming up with the Startup Stay idea, Facundo and I put together a quick survey to learn more about the different problems that entrepreneurs in startups face when they travel and other angles necessary to build the platform. We made tough decisions to define what we believe were the minimum viable features for the site, the basic functionalities that would serve the Startup Stay member and bring us closer to validating our main assumptions to serve the community better
We researched keywords such as “sxsw” and “accommodation, hotel, hostel” within the past 30 days, to learn more about what people said about their “where-to-stay” problem.
